The Falklands have been described as the Galapagos of the southern Atlantic, for the birds and wildlife are incredibly tame. The photography opportunities are fantastic, and we'll often be alone -- just our group -- at many of our locations. I think the penguin photography rivals that available anywhere -- Gentoos, Kings, Magellanic, Rockhopper, Macaroni, and the odd stray, as well as Sea Lions, Caracaras, various songbirds, and more. We'll have two overnights at the famous The Neck, for albatrosses, rochkhoppers, king cormorants, and all the penguins.
We limit our group to six participants, with Mary and I guiding you!
The Galapagos Islands
April 28-May 13, 2018
While the trip is still over one year away, I wanted to give everyone a head's upon this exciting trip. This is a two week trip that circumnavigates the entire archipelago, covering all of the major sites. We'll be photographing Hooded Albatrosses and Marine Iguanas on Esponosa, incredible Boobies and Frigates and other birds at Genovesa, Flightless Cormorants and Penguins, Marine Iguanas and more on Ferdanina, and Tortoises in the highlands of Santa Cruz.
We use a two hull catamaran, incredibly stable, and plenty of room. One of the true highlights is the snorkeling -- with Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, fish, and more -- this is a great trip and this may be the last time we offer this trip for a while. Don't miss out!
